Howdy! Feels like forever since I've posted here. I've been super busy with one thing after another.
If I'm not mistaken "astinleigh" is referring to me, about us trying to figure out how to get the burmese I just rescued to her in BC.
I'm not a dealer and I'm just now getting into breeding, so I'm not authorized to ship with FedEx or Delta Dash, yet, but hope to be able to start the process pretty soon (If I can find the dang time. Whew!).
"astinleigh" asked me about the burmese and I asked her, "Why, are you interested?" She said she might be but it would be several months before she'd be ready for it.
I told her that I didn't want any money for the snake and she could just pay shipping. I'm looking at an air-cargo company out of Canada that has a stop within a few hours of me. I'm hoping that she could just pay the airline up there in BC (prepay), that way I wouldn't have to be trusted with her money. I'm very leery about ordering online and stop just short of a FBI background check on companies I order PC parts from, which is what most of my online orders are for.
Anyway, since I raise my own rats it wouldn't cost much for me to hold onto the snake for awhile and that would also give "astinleigh" the time to do more research, hands-on experience, etc..., to see if she really wants a burmese python or not.
I told her that odds are she could get one cheaper within Canada than what it might cost to ship this one. We'll find out. I'm not trying to push this snake on her, she asked me about it. And because I happen to believe that she's got a good head on her shoulders, I believe that if she decides she really wants a burmese & can meet it's needs, she'll make a good keeper. Even after making a round trip of over 2hrs to rescue this snake, this is a chance I'm willing to take on "astinleigh's" behalf, and the snake's behalf as well.
Ya'll take care!
