Posted by: Hollychan at Sat Oct 13 19:11:33 2007 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by Hollychan ] When I first received my lavender cali through Fedex, I put her in a very basic home with plastic leaves and a fake log. I have been gradually working on converting her home over to a full vivarium. I don't want to do the process suddenly, so that I don't stress her. I have been adding a new portion about once per week. The biggest change, of course, will be her substrate, so I think I'll be mixing peat moss and soil (not commercial potting soil, I'd rather not deal with the fertilizers) in with her aspen bedding, so that it should be a fairly gradual change.
