The reason is a similar situation with the hypermelanistic/striped/abberrant Davis cal kings. In the wild you hypermelanistic males are always(so far) also striped/abberrant. Female hypermelanistics in the wild are almost always banded. However inbreed them in captivity a generation or two and the females become both hypermelanistic and striped abberrant. | ||
