I'd like to add that a female I owned for several years displayed the same behavior.. She was a healthy snake... One day she died.. Necropsy showed that she had been dealing with chronic nepheritis that eventually became infected and killed her.... Hmmmmm.... Yup, perfectly normal behavior.
