herpstat thermostats...

I've decided to go with a herpstat. But now I am wondering the main differences in the herpstat ND vs the herpstat II. Is it just the usb capability? (and whats that about?). I just need it for one cage right now then I planning on using it for a rack down the road. Is the herpstat ND good enough?
