Hello,

I think you will quickly tire with monitors in general if you keep them properly. Beardies and burms require a fraction of the setup work and provide the same basic "action". I am really surprised that the tegu did not provide enough excitement to maintain your attention- are you providing for these animals well? I ask this because if kept right, your monitor will provide you with tons of work and hide from you most of it's life, really. You have to be a true fan of these animals(big monitors) to keep them well and still continue to keep them. I lost my roof to a tornado recently, had to move quickly and set up everything again- I am still full of sore muscles and blisters not from moving furniture but from shoveling dirt and dragging troughs(thanks again to all friends and fam that helped). Also, Niles require no handling like other monitors... Best to you- Mike
