Ok, I always try to be honest and up front. I've posted reasons here why not to co-habitat snakes. Along with many many others that know far more than me.
So, do I take my own advice? Do I listen to the advice of my guru? Do I listen to all of you? Of course not. I'm not a newbie. I can handle it.
I bought 1.1 07 bloodreds this summer. This past week I took all my f/t peach fuzzies in as we needed then at the shop. I took home 4 bigger fuzzies as I felt they could handle it. I feed each separately 1 fuzzies each. No problem. Then recage them together. Late Monday I realized I forgot to freeze the other 2 fuzzies. I look at my 2 bloodreds and see they are thin already. So I feed each again. 1st mistake I know. I then recage them. I decide to check them very late tonight and see a fuzzy. So 1 regurged. 1 is in a shed, 1 not, and about the same weight.
So who regurged?
NO FREAKIN idea.
I presume the one going into shed.
Normally if separate, the one that regurged I'd skip 1-3 feedings based on condition and size. I also raise temps a bit. Now both are skipping a few meals. Not a super terrible thing.
But it shows co habiting is not great.
Add in I do not know my male from female. Easy to check. But if separate again, 1 less thing to stress the little guys.
I post this, because I know some do similar things. As in go against your common sense.
