Worst case scenario? Well, that seems kinda obvious- they tear each other to pieces/prey upon one another.

If you dont have the money to house 2 monitors seperately, REALLY think twice about your resource abilities in taking on a second animal. Theres a very real chance that, at some point, they will need seperate enclosures (during introduction and quarantine for example).

Anytime you introduce 2 adult monitors; theres the potential for a negative reaction- territoriality, prey-response, over-aggressive mating, etc.

Thats just the reality of the situation.

Now, if you want to take the risk of it (as many do) then thats your decision- but realize that if one of the animals DOES get hurt; its more than likely going to be your female(depending on the size of the male).
