The point remains the same. They are/were imported into this country legally. They are here. As indicated, they were also exported. That leaves a very legal paper trail to re-import them. But as I mentioned, FWS can do what they want and for no actual reason.

The fact is, V.salvator is appendix 2, and does not require paperwork. Once its in this country. If you see one in a pet shop, you can legally buy it. You do not have to worry or ask about its legally. And I do not care what color it is. This goes for all appendix 2 reptiles. Its not your task to keep track of whether they were imported legally or not. That is fish and wildlife services job. Of course, ESA or CITES 1 is another ball of wax.
