That is the great thing about Jobiensis, they deficate in their water basin 99% of the time. Daily cleaning their water basin equals the substrate never needs changing!

Back in the early 90's I maintained a pretty large and diverse collection of Varanids, from Prasinus to Cumingi and a bunch in between. At that time I found that adding (by accident) some Pill bugs, Milipedes and Centipedes they do a great job cleaning any fecal matter that I missed during daily spot cleanings! I call these lil guys my "work horses"!

After a short while their numbers level out according to food available, and a mini eco system evolves.
