dragons are, orange ones are, gold are. To the best of my knowledge no human created these, they are fairly unique to certain areas of Australia, like the reds from the eyre peninsula. Breeders here DID define the color morphs from those that came from wild by selective breeding which in turn produced some of the beautiful pastel colors that are NOT found in their natural habitat. Also, to the best I know, the only colors not in the wild are the whites or snows
Websters defines pastel as: A soft delicate hue; a pale color; Pale and soft in color
Thats what the pastels are, soft pale colors. They are not a line, or species or breed. You can have pastels from non pastels parents or vice versa.
Hypo means light color, less black, not necessarily clear nails, I have seen dragons with light creme nails, tan nails, brown and black, but their colors are pastels, hence to me they are pastels.
Just like some of their eyes are different, this is unique to the area they come from, not a line that will breed true. Mix it and you are liable to and will most likly get a mix of colors.
My parents had light brown and reddish brown hair, I have light brown, a sister has auburn, another sister and brother have dark brown, one has blondish hair and we all have children with a multitude of shades of color....... it is not a line trait, its a mix of genetics and you can get anything.
