I've never bred snakes before, but i am looking to breed my femalr hogg island within the next few years...

She is a late '05 i beleive...she is just about 5ft and weigh 5lbs...

I am getting an '06 male in the next few weeks...

Can someone give me the best time to breed them? I think i need to wait at least another year, from my calculations, she is appx. 2 years old, give or take a few months...

I want to make sure she is 100% ready before i try to breed her...

I've been feeding her one appropriately sized rodent per week as long as i have had her...

Is there a certain size/weight that i should be waiting for to tell if she is ready?

also, what should i expect when she does end up gravid?

i have read various bits & pieces about boa breeding...but i want to know everything i possibly can before i get in too deep! lol

how many babies should i expect?

thanks!
jessica
