First off I'm so excited I can hardly type, but back in July I bought 1.2 adult salmon from this guy in Anaheim. I got a great deal on them!!!!!! When I went to pick them up I asked if he had ever tried to breed them because they where pretty big. He said he tried but nothing came of it. So I gladly brought them home and stared at them for a couple days. I was really excited about one of the females because she had so much COLOR!! Here is a pic of her when I first got her!!

So once I got the females situated and in there cages I started to feed regularly, and they ate perfect for the first couple times. The female pictured had not shed since I had her and she was really starting to get dark. I had been worrying about her for the last month and a half because she just wouldn't shed, And it had been a while since she had eaten. So this last week she had been really active, and had knocked over her water dish twice which is really hard to do. She was also making a huge mess of her cage. I use paper towels and she just kept wrinkling them all up. It seemed REALLY strange to me.

So after taking a nap today what do I wake up too???? BABIES!!!!!!!

When I first looked in I said to myself man thats a lot of poop!! Then after looking closer I nearly lost it!!! I started screaming!! I CANT BELIEVE IT!!! There where 9 slugs, 1 still born, and 7 healthy babies. What is so surprising to me is that not only have I never even tried to breed a boa, but I had handled her and messed with her for months not knowing ANYTHING! Whenever friends or family would come over I would always take her out for show. I feel so stupid now seeing 9 slugs but the babies made me soooo happy I don't care. Well here are some quick pics!! I think 2 of them are supers too!!

look at those eyes!

Sorry the pics where so bad, but I was shaking and I didn't want to mess with them too much. Thank you Mike for helping me because I had no idea what to do. Its like a dream come true to finally have some baby boas. I cant believe how small they are. Now I know the feeling everyone else gets seeing there first litter. Have a great day everyone and thanks for taking the time to look.

Chaz
