Forum Speed

When flipping back & forth between the main forum page and the threads, I notice a few second lag everytime I come back to the main forum page. During this lag, only the top portion of the page is loaded, not the actual threads. I don't notice this in the classifieds.

Is this a problem with my machine, or is this an attempt to force people into viewing the ads at the top of the page?
