Well.. I had someone send me a male on loan to breed to my big female. The 'male' courted my female, stayed on top of her for 2 months, wrapped the tail, the whole nine yards. No babies. It turned out the 'male' was a female. Very weird.
Did you see actual copulation or just courting?
I would re-probe to make sure you do in fact have a male.
