Hi
i even looked it up in a dictionary and whe call them sprinkhaan.
i breed those i breed round the 1000 of them each week and feed 100 to my beardies and sel the rest .
here is the set up of me on the picture you see one big enclosure where my adults colony is in.
and the smaller cages i have the potsoil boxes in where they layed there eggs in.
i have every thing on a thermostate so if the temp go higer then 41 degree celsius is wil dimm the light.

you see here the boxes i use i would not use ducktape then babiehoppers wil stick on it poor babies

here is a link to breed them i breed the same i saw the pciture.
i found this on yahoo ,better use that for searching ;P

i have read this but i would not use sand in youre enclosure where you have the adults.
use potsoil boxes with a double bottom and fill the bottom box with water and the storie with dreads i told you before works great.
sand in youre colony and moist it wil get it to humit.
they like dry climat 30-40%
so you place the boxes in colony and after 3 days you take them out and then place them in a litle cage with a light for heat to incubate the eggs.
i feed them mainly gras i cut every 2 days with a garden zisor 2 bags of gras.
then i use a eleastic, dread to make a bundle and give that to my grashoppers/locust every day,and bran i give every day they need also dry food.
after 10-12 days the eggs wil hatch after 10 days of good heat and food they wil grow fast in 10 days they r halfgrowen and after one week from then they have wings.
i feed the small grashoppers and the bigger once to my beardies.
the small babies love the babie hoppers allot
if you wanan know more email me
there so much to tell .
