Hi folks, I rarely post, mostly lurk ;^) I've never breed boas before. I'd like to get some input from the experts (or at least more expert than I) on whether my pair of 3.5 year old hog island boas are big/old enough to breed.

They seem really active lately, crunching up their newspaper all the time, so I'm guessing it's a clue that they might be ready. I haven't intentionally cooled them, but I haven't turned up their winter room heater yet either.

Both must be nearly 5 feet long. The male Crictor is thin though, 04' Mitchell line, 15" ruler for scale.

Here is the female, Miss Piggy, (cliche I know, but the kids at the reptile club love it) 04' Sears line, much heavier than her boyfriend.

Sorry for the somewhat amateurish pics, (hope they work) maybe next time I'll have a better camera to capture their colors, and not get my arm in the pic. ;^)
