check out our site, look in the caresheets and the FAQ, there is lots of info there.

i suggest starting out in a small cage for acclimation, before moving to a large cage. a Blackthroat is a large lizard, you should expect at least a 6 ft animal as an adult, and 4 ft in the first year, properly cared for.

for a single animal, an 8 ft cage would be the minimum, but you should go as large as you can.

as for a 2 ft animal, that sounds like a common size for wild caught juvies. there are babies available right now, and i would suggest starting with as young an animal as possible, quality makes a huge difference.
