So I've come up with this wonderful plan of trying to open up a reptile zoo/education center. I'm looking at housing some monitors, and various snakes as well as an undisclosed "center piece". I'm looking for anyone that maybe interested in getting involed in a project like this. I also had a few questions about cage building.
I'm looking at building my Monitor cages to be 20'x20'x14'H, What is the best way to build something of this size? I'm thinking of using 2x4's to frame a room in, then using plywood walls, should I use insulation behind the walls? for the front wall or viewing area , I plan on using a 4' high wall, and then a 6' tall piece of glass or acrylic then back to plywood on the remmaing 4' of space up high.
I have decided what to use under the substrate, I was thinking of a tarp over the concrete, but its going to be some what permanet so I wasn't sure if I should use a perment flooring or not. I also plan on having roughly 4' of substrate with a pond that is about 8x10x2'deep, I have access to pumps that turn anywhere from 5000GPH or more so I would hope this helps keep the water quality up along with bi weekly changes if not ill be changing it more often. the overall size of the building is pretty large, looking at about 200'long by 80' wide x 16' high...If anyone has any ideas or suggestion or want to get in on the project just post or send me a message
thanks
Brad
