I really started somthing here. haha. First, I will agree that the peachies look a little dry, as they are currently on "rations". (not that much food) This should be fixed within the next few days. The gilleni eat lots of crickets, which I have. This is why they are not as skinny as the peachies. The cross looks better than the peachies because, as Frank said, they handle extremes better than peachies do. All different monitor species handle extremes differently, but their "comfort zone" is pretty much the same.

The cage is very humid. To the point that I can't keep the camera in there for more than a few seconds without it fogging up. It is an eight by three foot cage and has a wet portion and a dryer portion. It is very rare that I find any of the monitors on the wet side. I did not build the cage to be desert or forest. I built it based on the needs of the monitors at their point in life, and my limits.

I gave the cross dirt to burrow and the peachies hollow logs. As soon as I can I will add leeves to the cage. For now they do not need it, as they are still young and are not breeding.

They treat each other as the same species and I don't think that they know they are different.

I don't take offence by anything said here. I would not have shared if I did not want feedback. I will continue to post updates on hows this group is doing. Thanks. Tyler.
