The male is "borderline". Not much help is it? If he is truly 24 months old at this time rather than being 2 next summer then you have a decent shot. Age is more important than size.

I'm in exactly the same boat with a small hypo male of my own. I decided to let him try. He is locking up with and courting his female, but I won't know if it worked for a while yet.
