Posted by: RinL at Thu Nov 15 09:13:36 2007 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by RinL ] i buy plugs that you can attach to a cord, at lowes or any home supply store. when i add, for example, a flourescent light in a cage i cut off the plug that comes with the light. i drill a small hole in the cage big enough for the cord to go through, and attach the add on plug after i put the cord through. also this allows you to remove the light if desired by removing the plug and sliding the wire through the cage. i do this with the flewwatt strips i use to heat my racks. i slide the wire through a small hole in the back of the rack and attach the plug. i buy the plugs that dont require a screwdriver to attach to the cord. very easy. they fit standard lamp cord.
