Your snakes HAVE mites! It doesn't come in the bedding. That's just the story you get from the pet stores, because they're resistant to admitting they sold you a snake with mites!
The bedding just allows the mites to multiply and proliferate to enormus proportions, to the point that they're undeniably obvious.
After you get rid of the mites, you can go back to using the bedding of your choice.
