...COMPLETELY unrelated to this thread I was thinking about pastels and corals the other day. I have always said to a certain friend of mine that nicer / redder looking adults would produce better albinos. As far as I understand the pastel thing they are pretty much just selectively bred red / orange / clean animals?
The whole coral thing has always seemed very vague to me. I have never quite understood the stuff that you hear about the so-called genetics of the coral line. It seems kind of hit and miss?
Now I may be wrong but I do wonder if the pastels are nothing more than extreme 'corals' or the corals are just 'bad' pastel albinos? If I had two red hets I would expect to produce some nice albinos (and hets). If I had very average looking hets, I would expect some pretty average albinos (and hets).
Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree, I don't know ----- _____
