Thanks for the compliments........they are beautiful snakes.........the male is steel blue in his sides and the girl has some killer reverse striping in her tail...hopefull both parents pass on their good looks to their offspring. Fingers crossed!

The substrate I am using is "CareFresh"

I actually like it a lot..........it is not dusty compared to wooden substrates. I use shredded aspen for my ball python colony and find it to be very dusty. IT also gets compacted after thwey have crawled over it after some time.....whereas the boas really seem to liek the ability to burrow themselves in the Carefresh.

I was a little worried about they ingesting it during feeding, but I have seen no i'll effects to date. If they get it in their mouths they are able to get it out....or if some is ingested they are able to pass it.

It is also very absorbent and makes spot cleaning a breeze and it helps cut down on the odors associated with defecating and urinating.

All in all..........it is a plus for me and I will continue to use it on them.

Anyone else use it or something similar?

Jared
