Looking for trough enclosure ideas

So I’m festering on what I should do as far as caging goes for my timor monitor. Right now he’s in a 4x4x2 enclosure made of wood and plexiglass but I know that it’s not nearly tall enough for an arboreal monitor such as a timor.

At first I was thinking about just building a new top for my current enclosure to give him some more height, but now I’m thinking about maybe getting a smallish trough and building a tall top to close it in.

I guess I’m mostly looking for some pics or ideas for this, particularly dealing with how you would attatch a wooden top on a trough that has rounded ends without leaving big gaps and so on.
