Stock tanks are in much more demand in rural areas than in urban ones so a rural feed store may puchase more than an urban store and get price breaks for buying a larger quantity. The opposite happens with non-farm items such as food and clothes in rural areas. Overhead for an Urban store is much higher than in a rural area as real estate prices an property taxes are usually higher and this increase is reflected in the prices. You should consider if the lower price is worth the extra amount of money you will pay in gas which we all know too well is a LOT higher than it was in years past and if it is worth the 2hrs (is that one way or round trip? that adds up to alot of gas.How much are you paying in S.F.???)time you have to spend retrieving the tank.
