I have some type A's and B's. As I understand it, the B's are the redder ones, and the A's are the ones that look very BCC. Vincent Russo has a nice write-up in his book, The Complete Boa Constrictor, about how at the northern region of Columbia, the Andes are lower and it is believed BCI and BCC intermingle (see page 266 if you have the book). According to his account, the scale counts, saddle counts, etc. are not distinctly BCC or BCI.
I'm not an expert, but I do think the A's look like such an animal. The maroon tail color and shovel head look BCC, but the thick round body looks BCI. I haven't counted the scales....
Here's a couple of pics of my Type A. I didn't buy it directly from Jim, but the guy I got it from did.
