Posted by: jadrig at Tue Dec 4 14:25:33 2007 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by jadrig ] it would probably not be in the best interest for the frog or the chameleon to be housed with eachother. but it would probably not be in the best interest for the individuals to be kept at all if you havent kept either type of animal before. but thats besides the point...i have kept an adult male veiled chamelon with an adult whites treefrog for about a year. they were perfectly fine and do not cross paths at all. two completely opposing time schedules...BUT the only concern with housing a reptile w/ an ampibian is that the frog will always eliminate in the water bowl. some people chose not to provide water bowls for chams,so that could potentially eliminate the problem. as long as the chameleon cant eat the frog and the frog cant eat the chameleon they should be fine. most chameleons are a whole lot more compatible w/ other species than there own. ive also kept an adult male 16in ambanja blue panther w/ a pair of 10 in female standings in a 30gal high and they were all very happy until i separated them.
