So yesterday November 27th I wake up and find it is cold out. I mean, it is 5 degrees here in the Northland! 5 degrees! Now that's cold! So how can you breed Boas in a place that is 5 degrees you ask? Well, we have a furnace. The thermostat that runs that furnace is set at 77 degrees and the Boa room stays at that temp all the time. Day and night 77 degrees. That's correct, I still do not cool my Boas. I do turn off the heat in the cages at night but I do that all year around. So a night time drop, but the room stays the same all the time.

So what do Boas do when it's 5 degrees outside in the frozen wasteland of Minnesota? I'm glad you asked because this, apparently, is what they like to do:

and this:

and this:

and this:

and this:

and this:

and this:

Plus this Monster Tail Hypo is very very thick and on the verge of ovulating very soon:

But most importantly of all finally the little Motley figured out what it was that he was supposed to be doing:

You just can't imagine how nervous I am about this one. This girl is so bag and the most beautiful Boa I think I have personally ever seen. I just can't wait to see the babies that we might get if we are really fortunate with this breeding.

Time will tell right?
