He/she seems to be healthy no matter how carefully I test his reflexes and look for mites with a magnifying glass. He's perpetually either exploring, resting alertly, or sleeping. Or eating. He does hate the magnifying glass LOL. But so far, no mites or bites. And he climbs all over his room. He hisses me a lot more when I'm in there while he's on the floor. That makes sense, and I expect him to eventually feel more at ease in that situation. I never touch him or approach him when I catch him on the floor. If he gets antsy and hisses horribly, I leave the room to let him finish his tour and get back up the ladder to his baby-blanket familiar elevated shelf where he feels safe. To me, he is now truly a giant. He amazes me. | ||
