Like others said, Too much ventilation is not good for this species. They require lots of humidity or they will dehydrate real fast

Here are pictures of my setup I made for my pair.
The dimensions of the cage are 8x2x6 built of 2x4, presswood and hi-core ( coroplast
)







I covered the entire bottom with some kind of pond liner to make sure no water comes out. I also added a drain that you dont see in the pictures.





I also covered the walls with plastic aquaculture netting. I was using cork tiles before but its a lot more expensive and I had to replace it on a regular basis.


Finally, I put big peices of bark so they can hide between the wall and the bark. The space between is an inch or less, so I guess they feel more secure there.
I also added some vetical trunk with a diameter of no less than 4 inches. I think this is a really important thing in a treemonitor cage, cause instead of going crazy when I enter the room, they just hide on the opposite side.And they prefer wider trunks to small branches.

At the bottom, there is more than a foot of mulch mixed with compost, plus a bunch of oak leaves.

As you can see on the pictures, Im trying to grow some plants in there, have nothing to lose.

There is also a mysting system to make sure the humidity stay high.
