I tend to look at the color of the saddles, if they are dark brown prolly not a pastel (good one at least) but if they are light brown and on the side medallions should be no black on the real nice ones. Since there is less dark pigment present this allows for the subtle colors to show through. Here are a couple of pics of Joe Rollo's pastels | ||
