Burmese Burrowing?

I have a nice little 3 foot baby burm. Theres nothing wrong with him/her but i have it on newspaper bedding. I find the snake inbetween the layers of the newspaper all the time. Is this because there is no hide spot or is it not warm enough??



P.S. i havent put the hide spot in the cage for the last week because i was cleaning it and then forgot to. At this point i was just curious if that was the reason.
