A 75 gallon tank is fine for temporary housing while you work on a cage, especially if you happen to have an empty one laying around. However it would be a dumb idea to go out and buy one as like I said it won't be useful for long and once you have had a monitor in a tank you can forget about ever using it for fish as monitors tend to shred the silicone really bad so unless you are really good at re-sealing tanks once a monitor has been in it it's a reptile tank from them on. | ||
