Why they are so hard to keep alive in captivity? If you did reasearch on how many sav's died in captivity, you might also wonder why they are so hard to keep?! Perhaps its because they are getting into the wrong hands.

I'm not sure if they stress more or less than other monitors, its just they have adapated to their particular environment and are using their surroundings to their advantage. They hide, so they survive....probably the only reason they are still around.
