you get the sharpest and most striking colors when he is agitated. What your seeing when he is asleep is exactly the smae as my panther. He is calm, relaxed and his colors show it. My cham is beautiful at night. very light coloration with alot of pink and light red. he is only 6 months old. I can't waitto see him at full maturity.
