I've had my Burmese for almost 5 months now. She has grown a little over a foot since I got her, and is now just shy of 8ft. I was hoping to get some comments on my evaluation of her presently.
-Refused last meal, so she hasn't eaten in about three weeks, but is still very active, docile, and all around friendly.
-Drinks water regularly
-Has been having some irregular bowel movements; sometimes she will poop, sometimes she won't.
-Sheds on time and with ease. I sometimes have to help her out, but for the most part she does it by herself.
-Spends most of her time on the cooler side of her cage, but will spend a few hours per day moving around her cage, poking around and such.
-Loves being outside of the cage. I take her out very often, and me, as well as my roommates, enjoy holding her. We watch Planet Earth a lot.
-No visable discolorations or blemishes on her scales, but her snout does get pretty dirty from rubbing it on her cage. She doesn't like me rubbing wet paper towels on the tip of her nose much, but she is in no way aggresive or angry when I try to do it. She simply just tries to move her head.
I guess the main things I am concerned with revolve around her bowel movements, as well as winter eating habits. Does anyone expirience this same type of behavior? Am I going to have any trouble feeding her in the near future? (I am picking up a lot of XL rats this week)
Comments are much appreciated! Also, if you have any questions that would make for a better decision on her health, please don't be afraid to ask! Happy Holidays everyone.
