Posted by: toshamc at Sun Dec 30 16:44:30 2007 [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by toshamc ] In a nut shell - the female is always growing follicles - if introduced to a male at the right time she will continue to grow her follicles and then release a certain amount for fertilization (if no male she will absorb the follicles). Ovulation is when the follicles are pushed into the oviducts for fertilization by the stored up sperm (becoming an egg) - it's fairly easy to notice it looks like she swallowed a football for about 24 hours - at this point you can stop pairing them up - his job is done. | ||
