RE: freezing rats

One refreeze is okay. I've owned snakes in the past that actually preferred the twice thawed rats. Like Tosha said, though, they will do the funky belly split a whole lot easier the second time around. There is little you can do to prevent this, but a slow thaw is the best option you will have.



Thaw in the fridge (in a ziplock) overnight. Slow and even defrosting = less likelihood of belly split.
