I wouldn't buy an animal at any of those stores. I would not buy anything for my reptiles at Petco because it's right next to their herps, some of which have obvious mite infestations. I buy dog food there because they carry the brand I like to use. I buy substrate at PetSmart because they have what I use and a low price. I order other stuff online or buy it at a small herp store.
