Can hognoses be kept on eco-earth?

Would this coconut fiber be fine, as long as I feed to the hognose in a different container? It is aproximately 9 inches in length and is on reptile carpet (the felt type stuff). I feel bad since it is trying to dig through the felt. I have some extra coconut fiber left over from my crested gecko.
