Infrared Light?

I've read many things about infrared lights, but I know Exo Terra has an Infrared Heat Lamp and the box says "Excellent 24 hour radiant heat source."

I'm interested in buying a 100W (or is that too much?) light for my veiled chameleon to keep the temperature up. My room gets cold and I want to make sure she gets the proper heat. I also have a UVB and UVA light source.

Would an infrared light be good for her, and should it be used for day and night temperatures?
