I have the same problem with my dog and my Spinytailed Iguana. It's the lizards instinct and there is really nothing you can do. My suggestion would be to keep the cat away from the chuck so the lizard does not hurt its self. A spray bottle with water works wonders or put the lizard in a closed room the cat can't get into.
