Blake, your next assignment is to read and study

Texas Snakes: A Field Guide (Texas Natural History Guides) by James Dixon and John Werler. It is now down to 15 bucks on Amazon. You may also find it in a public library (to save money). This will provide you with Range Maps and some observation notes that are very nice.



Your questions are good. It sounds like you are trying to get an overall knowledge of our hobby. Now it is time for us to ask you a question? What are your goals? What are you truly interested in?
