temporarily cooling

I have a w/c Va. corn that started out eating really good for me then stopped altogether.She has been cooling down now for a little over 3 weeks.I'm cooling her to stimulate her to eat again since she's a little thin.(she appears to have layed eggs).Should this be long enough?? Thanks!, Jeff
