Burrowing Corn Snake?

I've had my corn snake for about a week now, fed him twice on pinkies and keep his cage at a 70-75 79-83 temp gradient and have about an inch of aspen shavings for bedding, he has hides at either end. Today every time I go to look for him in his cage he is burrowed under the aspen shavings. I just wanted to make sure this was normal.

Everything seems ok...

He's about 14-16 inches I think, 07 baby okeetee.
