It's really hard to tell if they are using it or not. Thing is that it is very rocky around there with lots of springs so I am not sure if it was really needed. It has only been operational for two years. I think it will take longer than that for snakes to find and use it. Older snakes remember their old haunts. Younger snakes usually follow the scent of the older snakes.



Of the snakes I have found recently all have been close to the snake den.



I would imagine this idea would be best applied where there the terrain that is less rocky or where there are no openings in the ground.
