I use a 1 to 1 ratio by weight of water to vermiculyte as the substrate. I place the eggs in the plastic box in the same position they were laid. note: It is very important that the eggs maintian their orientation during incubation. What I mean by this is that the top of each egg when layed needs to continue to be the top during the incubation period. I drill an 1/8 inch hole at each end of the box. This allows a small amount of air to pass over the eggs. The eggs should be half way burried in the substrate. The lid is then placed back on the box and the box is placed in the incubator. -Using this recipe you should see the eggs begin to dimple at around 30 days, this is agood thing. Using this method you don't have to add any water or open the box every day to let the eggs breathe. I incubate all of my ball python eggs at 89 degrees (F).
When I see the first egg pip I will slit the rest of eggs and leave the babies to crawl out in thier own time.
Good luck
