promised these to you guys months ago.... sorry for the photo quality but they are now almost 30 years old....

The first one was east of San Luis Potosi - does not look like a typical jani hatchling, it was the only one we saw on that trip so I can't comment on the snake other than it was released right away, no pits on the permit



This one was between Doctor Arroyo and Matahuala, much more typical of the jani we see in the pet trade. This one was also released, but not until the next day after being photographed - still no pits on the permit.



I've been to Durango 3 times since 2003 and only seen smushed deppei deppei - saw them 1982 but did not get photos. I also saw sayi "just" west of ciudad Durango in Chihuahuan Desert Habitat. That habitat fades quick as you drive west onto the plateau where deppei deppei is found.
